Erin & Charlie's priority was for their guests to have FUN! And they certainly did.
As guests arrived they were greeted by a large caricature of the couple and were given comedic ceremony programs to read as they waited for the ceremony to begin. After the bridal party proceeded down the aisle, Erin made a dramatic entrance down the grand staircase from the balcony.
The ceremony took place under two large billows of soft white draping that hung over the main space, looped through gold hoops and framed the ceremony.
After cocktails guests were invited to have their own caricature drawn on the patio. Instead of a formal guest book, they were encouraged to snap a polaroid holding their sketch and leave it in a photo album with a personal note. Passed hors d'oeuvres included miniature chicken and waffles and candied bacon(their favorite). Continuing the theme of casual Southern elegance, the dinner stations included a spread of gourmet mac & cheese, a trio of salads in martini glasses, veggie kabobs and a delicious crab cake, beef tenderloin and chicken caprese sliders.
A cake buffet from Dulce Desserts offered assorted flavors: Almond cake with two layers of raspberry buttercream, center layer of ganache (the big favorite of the night), Strawberry with three layers of white chocolate buttercream with fresh strawberries, and European buttercake with three layers of salted caramel buttercream. After dessert, The Bell Tower's Tasting Room was open for guests to sample 90 different whiskeys, scotch and bourbons.
The couple made their grand exit along Korean Veterans Boulevard through a tunnel of light sabers held by the guests. The Star Wars theme was also referenced by the groomsmen's socks!
