Having worked at Infinity Events & Catering as an Event Specialist from 2013 to 2015, Lindsay Rothrock is no stranger to the Nashville wedding scene. Sadly for us, in 2015, Lindsay relocated to Charlotte, N.C. Little did we both know fate would soon step in two years later, allowing Lindsay to work with us once more in Nashville. She teamed up with our own Event Specialist, Kristina, for Blake and Jordan’s wedding!
Blake is a Charlotte native but now lives in Nashville, and wanted to marry her now husband, Jordan, here. We caught up with Lindsay to get the scoop on her experience working together again, and all the details on Blake and Jordan’s stunning southern-style wedding reception at Belle Meade Plantation.
What was the inspiration for the day?
The first time I spoke with Blake about the feel of her wedding, she said that more than anything she wanted her guests to feel at home, comfortable, and like they were an integral part of the day. From there on out, every decision we made from the food choices to the seating chart to the lounge furniture, was made with their guests in mind. While this day was truly about Blake and Jordan, this adorable, selfless couple wanted to make everyone else feel special too!
What was the overall look and feel the bride and groom were going for?
For the décor, we wanted to accentuate the gorgeous natural features of Belle Meade Plantation without covering up its charm. Dainty flowers, real candles, soft linens, and a gorgeous halo chandelier added beautiful touches while allowing the venue to shine through.
What were some of the unique details that stood out to you?
The place cards – magnolia leaves with names handwritten by the bride – were collected from the large trees on the plantation. (Don’t worry, they had already fallen. No picking off the trees, here!)
I also loved how Blake and Jordan did what they wanted – not what the latest wedding magazine told them to do – in everything from their ceremony, to Blake’s comfy kicks, to the flow of the evening. It truly represented who they were as a couple and I guarantee that no guest left the wedding without feeling like they were even closer to this magical couple.
As an outside planner, what is it like working with an Infinity Event Specialist? What was the process like?
I have worked with Infinity as an Event Specialist for two years, and now as an outside planner working with their team. From the moment I picked up the phone to call Nathaniel, President and Co-Owner of Infinity Hospitality Group, to let him know I needed his assistance, I felt back at home. Those I had worked with before and even those new to the team were extremely helpful throughout the entire process.
As you can imagine, processes, pricing, and more had changed since my departure, and Kristina was so gracious in answering all of my questions and making the process of planning from out of town seamless. Y’all, we had one maybe 20 minute meeting face-to-face, and the rest was planned through email and phone. If that doesn’t say something about your efficiency, professionalism and overall wedding planning excellence, then I don’t know what does!
The night of the event – a night when IEC had at least 3 other events going on – we all fell into our roles, and everything went off without a hitch! It was a truly magical evening for all.
